I like this reptile carpet; however, the creases from the packaging are a bit challenging to work around. I found myself placing weightier items in specific ways to flatten the carpeting out temporarily before moving them to more ideal areas. This item smells a bit plasticky but I still think it is a better option than the calcium sand we were using before; not so much because of impaction risk but I noticed whenever I'd clean his enclosure, the dust kickup from the silica would leave me with a rough and uncomfortable cough and exacerbated asthma symptoms for several days and that made me concerned for my bearded's wellbeing. I have not had any issues with moisture as of yet and I have wheatgrass as well as kickback from him soaking and splashing in his water; it seems to dry out from the lamps. Cleanup has been mildly inconvenient when it comes to both fecal matter and bits of food. I have tried a mini broom and paper towels in attempts to upkeep before a full cleaning. The broom is ineffective and the paper towels seem to leave a bit of fecal matter, just enough to keep an eye on it.

I use our mats for lining our quail cages. They make daily cage cleanings easy & quick. The mats can be easily rinsed & hung up to dry.
