These little mantle hooks actually work far better than the ones that have designs! I ordered 3 different kinds to see what would hold up what I usually put in my son’s stocking. Up to 5+ pounds! The hooks with the designs on them tend to fall off the mantle due to the weight, the 2 of what I ordered failed. These hooks held up to 5 pounds with NO problem! They didn’t slide off the mantle, or bend. The cool part is these will fit a lot of different types of mantles. I love how easy they are to use just by pulling them open a little wider than you need, or pushing them closed a little.

We go a little overboard on stockings here. Hanging them has always been a precarious balancing act. These diminutive looking holders took everything we threw at them, fully loaded large stockings and even an extra bag hanging on same hook. Glad I took a chance on these, simple items that do their job well make me very happy!

These work great for hanging stockings. They can handle the weight and don't damage your mantle. Not bulky or heavy like the ones you set on top of your mantle.

I expected these to be a little less shiny -- in the photo they look at bit more matte as one might expect with an oil rubbed bronze finish. They still looked good just not what I was expecting. The function was stellar; easy to clip on various types of mantles and felt secure. You certainly won't be concerned about a stocking falling off or the product coming detached. I have not weight tested it but feel confident it can hold a full stocking. I also like that in places where the clip comes in contact with the mantle, they have placed a clear strip of soft plastic (unnoticeable) so that the clip won't mar your woodwork. In addition to holding a stocking, I can also see this securing garland to a shallow mantle by running the garland through the loops of the clip. Also love the way these clips don't dominate the mantle like many other stocking holders -- very unobtrusive but still decorative.

Great product! It easily adjusts to the mantle and it does not scratch. I love it! However, I was disappointed with the price point as I later saw the same product, in brass and silver for $24 at Canadian Tire. Therefore, it was not worth the shipping and handling fee at all!

I ordered this item in a set of 4. I received 2 sets that do not match. The colouring is off and there is a difference in length as well.
