Best price I found for a replacement salt cell for my Hayward Salt & Swim, installed easily and we were back in business in moments. It also comes with a new o-ring gasket! My old gasket had broken and I spent weeks trying to find a new one (they're expensive too)... after I finally found one and installed it I found out my salt cell needed to be replaced, now I have an extra, that's okay but it's good info that you don't need to worry about buying the gasket separately from the unit.

The lifespan is too short but the unit is very reliable. I've had to replace the cell for the 3rd time in six years. the price has over doubled. It's getting so it's not worth the simplicity next time might buy a new chlorinator.

I purchase these cells about every two years so when it came time to replace the current cell I purchased this one. When I received the cell and installed it I had an error code come up on the main unit stating that there was insufficient water flow.. The unit turned out to be bad. I requested a replacement from the seller and was told I had to contact Hayward because they were not responsible for defective products. I did contact a Hayward representative and after some troubleshooting he determined that the cell was defective and would send me a new one. I receive the new cell from Hayward and it worked perfectly. I have purchase six of the cells over the years and never had a bad one. This was just a fluke.Hayward is an excellent company and they do stand behind their products, but understand that the seller has really no liability. As in this case go straight to Hayward it will cut the stress level.

This makes the 3rd unit, counting the original salt cell for my pool. I got an average of 2 years on each of the other 2 units. This one quit working shortly after the return window for Amazon expired. Being this is the weekend, I'm going to follow up with Hayward to see if they will warranty the salt cell. I'll update my review depending on how they respond.

This is the second replacement I've purchased in 4 years, 1st lasted about 3 years just enough for the warranty to expire of course, and current one only 6 months with a connection error that won't clear after doing everything recommended online to correct and verifying rest of equipment is functioning properly. At a cost over $400+ would expect better longevity.
