I purchased a pair of these for switching on a shop vac connected to my chop saw. It worked excellent and helped keep the dust down. I liked it so much I bought a second one as a gift for my friend and his chop saw / shopvac.Regarding customer service, they are great. My remote stopped working after replacing the battery and would not pair. I tried several new batteries with no luck. It had been a year or more since I bought these, I reached out to HBN to see if they could offer any additional guidance. After ensuring I had correctly reset the unit (holding the button on the outlet while plugging it in) and attempting to pair the remote, the sent me a replacement remote at no cost. The replacement paired right up and I am back up and going. I communicated with them by phone and via amazon chat, both were good experiences.This is a handy product at a great price and if needed, they offer excellent support for their customers. I highly recommend this wireless remote outlet switch.

This works great for my backyard string lights. Amazing, especially the remote to turn them on. Also has a manual button to turn on at the plugs. Should have gotten one sooner. Would highly recommend this product.

This is designed for outdoor use, but don't let that stop you from using it indoors. My monitor for my security system sits above my fridge because it was the only possible place I could put it. We really did not need it on at night, and the light from it was disturbing to our sleep. I needed a step ladder to reach the off button. But with this little device it just takes a click of the button to turn it off. And, if I needed to check it in the middle of the night, I can turn it back on in a split second. I also installed one on my wife's computer monitor in our bedroom because even with the monitor turn off, with the power on, the blinking blue light on the on switch was blinding. Don't hesitate to pick some of these up. They are great!!

I originally wrote that no batteries were included with this and that the title was deceptive for saying that, but I bought the 2-port version and 7 batteries were included, so I guess I just got very unlucky with mine. Still, buy your own 12v/23a batteries if you get this just to be safe.Overall, the plug is 3 inches in length, not a lot of slack, and it doesn't fit into a tight space at all. It is only one outlet on this model, so that means giving up an outlet just to have this switch on most power adapters.The plug seems very weatherproof, though I will not be using it outdoors anytime soon. The remote is pretty small and lightweight.So here are some pros:1. The port device and the remote can be mapped to each other. They came mapped to each other already, but this meant I could remap them if I bought more later. Very versatile signal solution. I bought this because it wouldn't interfere with the signal of the other wireless ports I bought previously.2. The remote is a basic on/off switch, no extra buttons getting in the way. This is good if you just want something simple with no timer elements.3. The product is fairly cheap and easy to expand on.And some minor flaws:1. It is an awkward plug. It might not fit everywhere, so investigate the shape before buying.2. The length is very short, so you'll have a bulky box hanging from the wall outlet if you hook it up that way.3. The remote is likely to not come with batteries, and the type of battery used is an uncommon one you might not have laying around. Not a big issue, but it would have been better if it used a AAA battery.Overall, good product, especially for the price. It helped me out with my laundry room in my basement, which did not have a light switch. I just velcro'd the remote to the wall at the doorway and the job was done. Simple solution to a complex problem.

We use this to turn our outdoor string of lights on and off and it works great! So much better than having to go outside and plug them in every time we want to turn them on. Something happened to the remote after about 2 years (or more?) but for the price, that's well worth it. An honestly, I think somebody dropped the remote or something so it was our fault.

Makes life easier to have 3 circuits controlled by one remote. This is what I like about this product. I bought it to replace a similar product - only the old one was for two circuits. The only thing I don't like about this product is the remote doesn't have a chain with a ring on the end (like my old one) so I can hang it on the key hook to be convenient. And to keep from misplacing it. But it works great!

Saw a video online where a guy used a much more pricey remote to control his shop vac. I liked the concept, searched and found this one that works great for same purpose at much better price.At first, remote did not work even after installing included battery. After closer inspection, I discovered that the small battery has a tight fitting shrink wrap covering that was keeping the battery from powering the remote, after removing wrap it worked perfectly!I noticed a few other reviewers saying "Included battery did not work", I have a feeling they also did not realize there was a shrink wrap covering battery! If you have issues, check your battery and remove the very close fitting shrink wrap.Very happy with this device!

I use this to power my dust collector on and off without having to walk up to it and manually switch it on and off between cuts. Works perfectly and saves me time and hassle.
