I bought two of these shelves sets 5 high and assembled them myself! The instructions were very clear step by step and packaged and labeled perfectly. In addition the shelves look incredibly nice. They are priced well too. They are very sturdy. I liked that the shelves are all adjustable to meet you needs. I will be buying more.

Its very sturdy and easy to put together. I display my Star Wars Lego collection on it and it looks great. Some people might find the stuffiness an issue but my shelf sits on carpet and is a nice size.

I must say I was highly intimidated and frustrated when I saw all the pieces that came in the box and all the nuts/screws/bolts types of things that came with it. The directions also intimidated me. I don't like to read directions. However, after doing the first step it all came together very easily! I do feel that whoever wrote the paperwork could have simplified it more. My husband and I threw it together fairly quickly. It looks great in my pantry.

The frame is very sturdy, and the unit looks great. I'm a doctoral student, and have a lot of heavy books. My books have broken other shelves, but this one is steady and strong. Love it!

We absolutely love this shelving unit. It is higher quality than most self assembly units I’ve bought from Amazon, Ikea, Walmart. The finish almost looks like real wood! The bars are very sturdy, maybe iron. It’s a perfect shelving unit for my extra kitchen gadgets.I have to warn people though that it is both very easy and very hard to assemble. It takes time just because there’s about 70 screws to make tighten. Another problem is that too I have to pay careful attention to the numbers and letters in the assembly manual otherwise it is very easy to mid up the longer screws with the shorter screws, in which case you might have to start all over :D Also the bars really need to be facing the right direction or you won’t be able to add the supports to make the unit even more sturdy. I found that the attachments for wall attachment was unnecessary for us since it was very sturdy and not wobbly and highly unlikely to fall.

As others have said...difficult to put together as instructions need to be a little more explanatory...we put together.....had to take apart half way....thought we had it put together right and had to totally take it apart and put together again. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE SUPPORT RACK HOLES ON THE BACK AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE THERE WHERE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE...place the racks over the holes and make sure in right place before you tighten all screws and place all shelves!!But, after we got together, we love it!! It is a nice addition to our business booth, love the look and I love the hangers for hanging product off of. I would not hesitate to buy again.

I needed a bookshelf for my collection of college and high-school textbooks (not mine; I'm not a graduate but I'm using them for studies now). These are big, tall, heavy books so I needed something that would hold but I didn't want something too heavy or large. This was perfect. The adjustment range on the individual shelves left a capacity for book height from about 11 inches for most of the shortest and 13.5 inches at the tallest. When you adjust most of the shelves to the 12- or 13.5-inch height, that left one shelf with a 10 inch height, which is fine for one shelf to take the shorter books. I would have loved this even more if it could be adjusted for 13-inch height to accommodate the tallest textbooks. This, literally, would have only taken about 2 more inches of height overall. The description claims metal and wood construction but the only wood in this is the sawdust from real woodwork pressed into particle board - though the quality of the paper wrap over the particle board is great and it actually looks like a high-quality furniture-grade, 11-layer, plywood... But don't be fooled; it's not.Because the shelves are particle board, it becomes important that the only thing holding them in are these very course-threaded furniture screws; you've probably seen and installed them by the dozens before. And you'll install them by the dozens in this unit as well. In assembling the sides and back to the shelves. These screws go through the metal frame before going into the shelves to mount the shelf, meaning that just over an inch of screw goes into the particle board to hold the 75 pounds that each shelf is supposed to carry. It is these screws into particle board, shortened effectively by the thickness of the frame, that lead to the 4-star review because I just don't think it's going to hold up. To earn 5 stars, I should not only like the shelves but should also be confident that it's going to last. I don't have that confidence. And by the time I've owned it long enough to know it is going to hold up, the product will be off the market and reviews, good or otherwise, won't matter. So, consider the positives and the limitations and you can make your own choice. For me, I'm glad I bought this. So far, it's definitely better to have my piles of textbooks on these shelves instead of stacked on the floor.
