The PTO switch has been a constant source of trouble on my Scag Turf Tiger. Other replacements have lasted a year or two. This one says it’s heavy duty, hopeful that it’ll last a while. So far it fits and works as it should.

I installed this on a Scag Tiger Cub 52" mower and the blades fired right up. Unbolt the switch panel and work the old switch out using a flathead screwdriver to press the 4 end tabs in. Similarly, use a flathead to press the end tabs and work the new switch partially in. Square it up and give it a firm rap and it will pop into place. Nice fit and no filing. The knob is smaller but easy to pull and looks great.

SCAG starter wouldn't crank, did some troubleshooting back to this PTO switch, confirmed on the internet that this is a common SCAG issue. This switch fixed it up perfectly.

I bought this for a 2004 Scag Turf Tiger but ended up not using it. I found that the problem was another electrical issue, but did install it and tried it out before removing it and it fits and works great. I will now just have a spare in case I need it.

direct replacement for factory switch. The old one failed because the clutch failed and drew too much current and melted the old switch.
