These go well in my farmhouse kitchen and are nicely sized. I just received them today and they are already filled with salt and pepper and stacked on my counter. The lid seems to fit well. Not difficult to remove. I like them! Just a side note, I originally ordered a wooden salt box with a hinged lid. It came broken as the lid was hinged at a place where the wood was glued together. I saw that could become a problem regardless of the manufacturer. This will not be an issue with this style. Happy with my purchase.
