Useful and affordable, love these! When using expensive reagents it's great to be able to use a small volume and apply them to the slide directly instead of bathing the slides in a jar or mailer. 8 slides fit easily into each tray and the lid can be easily placed and removed without disturbing the slides inside. It's nice that they're disposable, but I prefer to clean and reuse when I'm done with each set of slides. Each package includes 4 trays (unfortunately only one lid though) so I can use different trays for different labeling protocols (I have one designated for in situ labeling, etc.).Only complaint is how the slide sits in the rack. Instead of just sitting on the plastic trays, there are pieces that extend up the side of the slide to keep them from moving in the rack. This is fine, unless you get too much liquid on the slide. If the liquid on your slide touches this plastic, it is drawn off of your slide and into the reservoir below.

I use this in my medical office. It is so much less expensive than the Fisher Scientific catalog, and they actually give you 5 trays with 1 lid. Great buy.

On one hand, you have space for multiple slides; one the other hand, the tray leaks badly.The lid does not fit well on the tray.
