Has a heavy marble base, as described, gives it more stability. The prongs do not stick out too far and are the right size to hold keychain.

We bought this specific one with a heavier base to prevent kids from easily tipping it over. It doesn't slow them down, so maybe not worth it if that's the only reason you're getting it but it looks nice and holds a lot of coats at once.

I can only assume the positive reviews were written within days of receiving the product.One month after receiving this product (after the return window closed) this coat rack quickly became less stable and unable to hold more than two items (see second photo) without falling over and the components of the stand routinely detach.

Got this coat rack this past November 2024.It can no longer support any weight on the base and tilts over quite dramatically. Therefore, I cannot recommend the product.I gave 2 stars as it is an attractive rack that worked for 2 months. Unless we received a lemon, the advertised weight capacity of 180 Lbs seems wildly exaggerated. We hardly hanged 4 coats on this rack.A single rod would have been preferable to maintain integrity.I hope the vendor is able to rectify the issue and will advise as things progress.
