I purchased this scraping tool for my backyard grill. The grill works really well for Cheeseburgers, streaks, fish, fried rice, Onions, and other vegetables. But like any frying pan, it accumulates a lot of built-up grease and debris during the cooking process. And with 4 separate gas burners providing heat it's easy to overheat the grill, causing these contaminants to burn and stick to the flat surface. Getting them off and out of the way can be a time consuming, tiring, chore right in the middle of cooking. This tool is big and strong and comes with a 6" wide, sharpened Stainless Steel blade. The blade clamps on to the solid, front support using 2 - 1/8" diameter screws - there is no flex or movement once you clamp it in place. An aluminum guard is also provided which mounts above the blade and protects you from splatter and debris when you're using the tool. The tool handle is hollow to save some weight but is still very thick and strong. For me, I place the palm of my left hand on the front knob to guide the tool and provide downwards pressure. I then grab the rear handle with my right hand to provide additional downwards force and the Push-Pull motion. There is no rubber or plastic used anywhere on the tool - nothing to melt or decay overtime. On a large grill surface like mine, you can scrape a long time getting rid of cooking residue. Previously, I've used a one hand scraper. It can do the job; it just takes longer and beats up your one wrist and hand. The leverages provided by this tool is a game changer. You get both arms and your shoulders into the work - like a bulldozer. But it's not crude and clumsy - you can back off your force for a simple clean when needed. Its sharp blade moves smoothly on the flat grill surface scraping off burned on layers and moving solid debris in less time and less work by you.I love this thing. It's a joy to use. And the blade is removeable for sharpening or cleaning when required. It's built nearly indestructible and lives outside beneath the grill. If you've ever had to start up a rusted grill, that wasn't cleaned properly after the last meal, you'll really appreciate this tool. In my opinion compared to other tools on the market, this is a bargain. I would recommend it to anyone with a backyard grill.

The blade on this is really sharp! I actually cut myself unpackaging it. While it might be good for it to be sharp for some things, I don't know that it needs to be razor sharp. It also came with no instructions for assembly. I had to pull

2-11-25 I know this is made for commercial use and the quality shows, yet wow it doesn't a great job on my glass cook top and Blackstone griddle. This is made of solid cast aluminum with a burnished finish. The beveled edge blade and the guard are held on by bolts with wing nuts so it can be easily disassembled for cleaning or blade replacement. I'm telling you this was so much easier than using the little hand scraper, which is pretty much a dough cutter, on my griddle. Or using a razor blade to clean off my glass cooktop. It has that nice ball grip on the front and a trigger grip on the back so you can put as much pressure as needed to scrape anything off. Heck I'd even use it to scrape up vinyl flooring if I needed to. It's well worth it and if you own a griddle don't even bother with other plastic brands this one will not disappoint you and will likely last you a lifetime. Hopefully my written and photo reviews are helpful, Thank you!

This is a heavy duty scraper. Was thinking I would use this for my griddle, but it's a bit overkill. So I'll have to hold onto it until I can upgrade to a larger grill. Came in a box without instructions, but it's easy enough to assemble.

Heavy duty indeed. The cast aluminum handle is stout and comfortable. It's a large scraper that clears 6 inches at a time. The beveled scraper is thick, heavy gauge steel and easily removes with wing nuts. This has no problems plowing through cooked on grime.
