We used to of these to hold up a 5 gallon pail off the floor in our storm shelter. We keep some random supplies in the pail in case we need to take shelter quickly. I used two so that there wasn't just one "pivot" point on the handle. It's worked great and no sign of failure...if there were to be a failure, it would have to be the Velcro because the magnets sure aren't going anywhere.

Worked great for holding my gate, shut or open and also holding tools. They hold a lot of weight and the Velcro is strong. You should be in good shape with these.

These magnets are strong and have a large field, if you are handling them keep them apart from each other and install them with care, They snap to metal and together with quite a lot of force and getting your finger caught would really hurt. I've been using these to hold my 1/2 Impact and Long Barrel Air Hammer to the side of my tool box and they have worked great, they stay where you place them and the rubber covering on the magnets keep them from Scratching up the metal surface you place them on.
