How to Use

1. Remove fastener nut from Pitman Arm shaft.

2. Adjust the jaws and pressure screw to fit evenly for pulling.

3. Do not use impact wrench on pressure screw.

4. After adjusting pressure screw on Pitman Arm shaft, tighten one or two turns more to apply pressure on shaft.

5. Use large hammer to strike pressure screw so Pitman Arm will loosen from shaft.

6. If Pitman Arm is still on shaft, tighten pressure screw another turn before striking with hammer.

Even though it is half the expense of the OTC it seems to be well made and worked well for me (Likely comes from the same factory in China), I used it to remove a drag link from a 16 year old Motor home built on a Chevy c5500 Kodiak chassis (2 ton medium duty truck). this was a very heavy inch and a quarter solid steel bar with large joints at each end, I used a half inch impact gun with a little torch heat to get the tapered joints to release, it worked like a charm. The bolts in the puller are all grade 3 except the main bolt in the center and could be made better if you changed out the other four bolts for grade 8, however it worked perfect for me just as it was shipped. It has my seal of approval.
