Next time you carve at the table, this is the fork you should use! It is really impressive and good looking. The construction is of stainless steel with a tang that runs the length of the handle. The handle is of wood with rivets holding it to the tang. The rivets are finished flush with the handle.I have several carving forks, but none are constructed this well or as sturdy. While it is meant to hold things in place while you carve, you could use this fork to help lift poultry or a cut of meat onto the cutting board. It is not going to bend under the weight.Pair this fork with your favorite carving knife and you'll be the center of attention at any dinner party.

This carving fork is very heavy and well made. The handle feels good to the hand and the whole this is made from high quality materials and construction. The tines are sharp enough on the tips to penetrate the meat to be carved, but thick enough not to push all the way through when pressure is applied. Most such forks are really too thin and they sink into the meat too far while you are carving. Not this one - it's heavy duty enough to do the job right.
