It was very easy to build a custom workbench out of 2x4’s with these brackets, but they are very pricey.

Should know, am an idiot. Cut to length, insert and fasten. I’m sure there was still an easier way, but had table frame in no time. Couple hrs, full table.

I bought the product and one of the bracket has NO pre-drilled holes where needs to be. And there is a hole where does not need to be. I already build most of the work bench and now I need to take everything apart and return?

The screws are for countersunk holes and the devices are not countersunk so the screw heads stand proud of the surfaces. Otherwise, these are heavy gauge steel and are squared off so that if your 2x4s are square and not twisted, the assembly is straightforward. I will note that there is no guidance on which direction to place the long axis for the two cross members. This leads to uprights only going together out of alignment and replacing the frames backward so that all the uprights are in the same orientation. Looks like it will take some use.

Review for Heavy Duty Workbench Bracket Kit - 8 Pcs Steel 3-Way Right Angle Corner Brackets for DIY Custom Workbench, Shelving, Work Table, Fits 2x4 (Actual 1.5"x3.5") Wood.I have used these types of brackets before to make bookshelves. Decades ago, I picked up some, and I thought they were great to cover up the crooked cuts of my early un-skilled woodworking ability. Now I have a lot of tools, but I still think that these are great. They take a lot of guesswork out of building a workbench from 2x4 lumber.However... if you can build your own workbench, then you might not need these brackets, as they are just an additional expense. And these brackets don't come with any instructions at all, which means that novice wood workers won't know what lengths to cut the wood to build a workbench. It would be nice to have a chart with the cut lengths for the 2x4 boards for various sizes of workbenches. But, these brackets are simple. Each bracket is the same, and you get 8 of them. Each bracket holds a vertical 2x4 board (for a leg) and 2 horizontal 2x4 boards (for supports). Just make sure that the horizontal holes are arranged to make a rectangle as you build your workbench. These do cost a bit more than I would have expected.
