I bought one of these to test on the oregon coast and caught tons of crab all day. It fit 1 herring (cut in half) in the cage and the loops were excellent at keeping the crab on there until you bring them in.Unfortunately, half way through my trip I snapped my line casting (unknowingly tangled at the tip of my rod) and I was forced to try different traps. I tried three different "Generic" snare traps and they were HORRIBLE. The traps would not land oriented correctly and the loops SUCKED.This trap is excellent in both those regards. The trap lands perfectly upright, with all the loops in perfect position. The moment you start reeling in those loops sinch up very very easily and tight.Highly recommend giving this a shot if you're doing shore crabbing. 10/10. 5 Stars.Will be buying multiples in case I lose one or two on my next trip! Thank you so much for the high quality product!

I’ve bought 2 and had 2 great crabbing trips with them. Great build- feels durable & long lasting. I plan to get some more. My only negative is that they’re a litttle bit pricy. It’s hard to buy more than a few of these without feeling like I spent a lot of money.

Price was great and product was good. Didn't have any issues catching crabs with the snares. Unfortunately the rubber band that held the cage door to the snare broke after a couple cast. I'm pretty sure I just got unlucky. Good thing I purchased 4 so I was able to use a different one. That's the only reason for a 4 star

I can’t even snag jumbo blue crab with this snare. I’m sure it’s good for other crabs.

The hook that closes the door is made of rubber that doesn’t last in saltwater. Ripped apart in one use smh.

I love using the Fishernomics "Tank" crab snares in the classic size. These snares pair up well with my 12' heavy duty rods and cast a mile. Perfect when swifter current calls for additional weight. The build quality is outstanding and the loops retain their shape after an entire season and multiple crabs. Highly recommended!
