On a typical wood textured flooring the product, with or without the provided and recommended rubber sheet, does not have enough suction to allow even very light tapping. It simply detaches when tapped. I have tried it on smooth surfaces and think it might work on a smooth floor. Other reviews suggest it might not work, but I needed a solution for my flooring gaps and decided to try anyway. Big mistake.

The product is sturdy and I could see working. Didn’t work with my floors that are grooved. I tried petroleum jelly and carpenters tape with no luck.

I’m very impressed with the quality of this product. It’s sturdy, easy to use, and feels like it’s built to handle tough jobs without breaking. The design is excellent—much better than alternative solutions I’ve tried—and it’s versatile too. While it’s great for flooring, I was surprised to find it worked perfectly for opening a damaged glass door using the suction cup. Overall, the price is fair for the value and durability it offers. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and multi-purpose tool.

I like the product, it is very easy to use and works well. Looks and feels like it is built to last and could take a lot of punishment. I like the design better than the alternative solutions available, and the price feels good for what you get.

All I can say it did not work on my laminate floor that had a 1/8 inch gap in it.

After seeing some say this doesn't work, I had to leave comment saying it works and it's very easy. Included rubber hammer leaves no excuse for not fixing that gap on your luxury vinyl flooring. Although I can see just a minor gap left, should this work itself loose again, I have the tool and I'll just add some epoxy to the joint to hold it permanently.
