The size is perfect for us. Access from either side and how wide it is makes it easy to pack and unpack. Will modify the brackets so they don't stick into storage area too far, but I love it

Unit comes UNLOCKED and requires a challenge to open when not attached to the car (no hold-down). No instructions advised of this but communication with distributor resolved why I couldn’t get the unit unlocked to open.

Currently using it to carry over flow odd stuff like life jackets, kayak paddles, beach chairs…Found there was too much clearance for the aero crossbars for the retention rings. 5 dollar pool noodle fixed that. Opens closes fine. Worth the money.
