I put this on my 2020 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4x4. There is NO TRIMMING required BUT you do need to remove the front air dam, which is no big deal. If you notice in the description it states there are NO INSTRUCTIONS and trust me, they’re not lying. You get a well-wrapped box full of a lot of parts. FEAR NOT! There is a video that covers installation of the mounting brackets (there is a lower and upper) that is EXTREMELY helpful. It doesn’t cover how to put together the actual brush guard itself, but a little common sense is all you need. If you type in “Tacoma Brush Guard Install” in Google the first video that comes up is “Tacoma Barricade Brush Guard Black Review” by ExtremeTerrain Tacoma. It’ll get you moving in the right direction. It honestly is not hard to figure out. I HIGHLY recommend that you not tighten all bolts in mounting location until you get this positioned correctly on your truck. I built mine from the mounting location up and then assembled the main part as I went. If I had to do it all over again, I would have built the main portion and THEN attached it to the mounting braces. I followed the videos advice and removed the front grill, but if you have smaller hands and skinnier arms you can easily access the top mounting location on the crossmember and not have to remove it.The product itself is VERY sturdy. I had serious concerns that it would be flimsy and easily flex, but that is NOT the case. The push bar portion kinda reminds me of a cop car! THE MOUNTING HOLES FOR A LIGHTBAR ARE 16 INCHES APART, 37 INCH WIDTH IN CENTER! That is NOT covered in the description but now you know….I’m giving this 5-stars. It DOES state that in the description there are no installation instructions, so I was not surprised, but really I feel it’s kinda laziness on their part. It is NOT hard to throw instructions together and include them in the dang box. I'd do it myself but already got involved before I thought about it, oops. If it wasn’t for me finding that video, install would have likely taken much longer since there are essentially 2 different sizes of bolts in the entire box and again, common sense will need to be employed to determine which go where.Overall I recommend this product IF you are handy. If IKEA furniture mystifies you, then give this a pass. Also, in the video I mentioned above, the brush guard is IDENTICAL and that one is $535…so yeah, I’ll gladly save $250+ dollars for a bit of angst.

Installed on 2023 Tacoma SR5 4X4Pro'sGood Price, Looks Good, Fits Well, Allows Front Sensor to Continue Working, Fairly Sturdy as Constructed but a small improvement should be considered, Packaged well, Fast Shipping. Fairly easy to install.Con'sNo Instructions, All holes are drilled for the larger bolts, but three different styles and sizes of bolts are provided leading to confusion as what bolt goes in what hole, Once installed it shakes a little more than I would have preferred. I had small concerns that if I drove over a hard bumps like railroad tracks the guard could shake to the point it could come in contact with the fender and caused damage to the vehicle. An inspection of the construction revealed the upper center support bar could use a little improvement in how it is mounted to the side bars. Its single bolt point of contact allows the side bars to flex more than my liking. But not a defect that would cause me not to recommend the Brush Guard. I'm an Engineer and I look for how things can be improved. My Improvements: See Photo I added another support bar at the top across the center connected to the rear top headlight guard mount bolts. The additional support bar added additional stiffness to the side supports removing most of the flex from the side upright push bars.Note to Manufacturer: Please consider the following changes to this brush guard to improve its stiffness and improve customer satisfaction. Currently the top center support bar only has a small welded circular plate with one contact point. This allows the side bars to flex more than desired and under heavy use could possibly allow the headlight guards to come in contact with the vehicle. Change the design to a welded triangular plate with three bolting points of contact that includes the current bolt mount hole and the two upper headlight guard mount holes. This will drastically stiffen the Brush Guard and eliminate most of the side-to-side flex. Additional Recommendation: Make all the bolts, nuts and washers the same size. "The large Size" This will also help to stiffen the guard and remove unwanted flex. It will drastically improve customer satisfaction. All and all a good-looking well-built brush guard at 1/2 the price of the competition that is fairly easy to install. If you don't have a lot of mechanical knowledge there are several videos on You Tube that show the ease of installation. My recommendation for the added support bar is not necessary if you don't mind a little shake in the guard when you go over bumps. I had the metal, so I elected to add the extra support. I would buy again.

First, I'd like to address some of the negative reviews people have had on here. It doesn't come with instructions... that's right, it doesn't. However, the assembly is pretty straight forward and not that difficult to figure out IMHO. If you need instructions there are similar brush guard assembly instructional videos on YouTube for other brands. They all mount basically the same way.People said they received theirs and it was scratched. Ok, yeah, mine had a couple minor scratches in it too. I touched them up. It's no big deal. For the life of me I don't know how the thing got scratched because every single piece is in bubble wrap, plus there's little rubber dividers in the box separating all of the pieces and it's inside of a large cloth container to keep it from banging around in the box. So, I don't know what else they could have done to package it any better. Here's the way I see it... it's obviously going on a truck so it's going to get scratched eventually anyway, so the couple minor scratches/blemishes don't really matter. Finally, the thing looks fricking awesome on my truck, and it was only a fraction of the cost of an almost identical one I saw somewhere else. So, yeah I'm happy with it. I have no regrets. And for what it's worth the thing shipped extremely quickly. I think I had it within 3 days after placing my order.

Looks great, easy to assemble and install.Only negative issues were the lack of instructions ( google will solve this issue) and some pretty bad scratches ( paint pen seems to work ok)
