There 2 types of side mirror back covers, one that goes over you existing cove with adhesive the stick to your original and then this type which is an exact snap in fit that replace your original painted back cover . The glue on backing cover does not fit as precise like the snap in place backing .

The original mirror caps which came with my 2007 Silverado were color matched to the truck's color (white). Over the years, those mirror caps suffered numerous rock chips in the paint and were incredibly unsightly. These chrome mirror caps were a perfect fit, took no more than ten minutes to replace them both, and the chrome looks 1,000% better than the white. Great value. Great appearance.

Easier installation than I thought. There are U Tube videos so get the right one, watch, and get them installed. How long will they look good is the question and time will tell. Friends have told me they hold up well.

Bought a twin pack of these mirror trims at a great price even though I only needed the right side. No idea how the chromed plastic will hold up, but the truck is already 17 years old. How much longer will I own it?

On my 2009 Suburban, the new chrome mirror caps fit perfectly. They were received very promptly after ordering.
