Helly Hanson rain hat.Very good. Well made.SMALL is 55/56 cm. Measure the head circumference 1/2†above the ear. I measured 55 cm and the small fit perfectly. IF my head measured 56 cm I think the next size up would be better.You cannot see the actual size in cm of the hat UNTIL you go to the CHECKOUT.SMALL = 55/56MEDIUM = 57/58LARGE = 59/60X-LARGE = 61/62XX-LARGE = didn’t have a size in cm but I assume it is 63/64 if we follow the pattern.If you want to wear a beanie under it measure your head while wearing a beanie.FYI - There is no hat band inside. It is lined with clothe. No hatband means you can’t make a big hat smaller by putting something behind the hatband.Ordered March 27, 2023.Arrived April 3, 2023.So it took 7 days to arrive.

We had that tropical storm in CA couple of weeks ago and I wore this hat...it worked great, does what a rain hat should do.... comfortable and keeps my head dry.

This hat is so small that could never fit in the head above your shoulders. I am sending this back. I don’t mind the prince, since the quality is there but this is not a men’s hat; maybe a toddler’s hat.

Did not come in time for the trip we had planned, but just put on for a rainy day and it is a SMALL.I am a LARGE. Says needed to return by April 14, my loss. Cannot even start to fit on my head.

I looked around for the appropriate size chart, measured my head, and conservatively ordered UP a size and got a Large (59/60). It's really snug, and actually looks a bit small. It will stay on if I cinch the chin strap, but it fits like a child's hat.

i wear a hat size 7 and its a tight fit, tag says small on mine so make sure you get size you want ,

Man oh man if your a hard core fisherman and wanna work in style this is the lid for you! I’ve been in 90mph winds and by pulling the simplest strap and tightens right up saving ears and my hair. Nothing worse than swimmers ear

Great hat. Very sturdy. Slightly large for a woman with average head size but not enough to be a problem. I proudly wear it when it rains. It turns heads. Probably, they are confused, but it's fashion sweaty. Look it up.

No complaints. Fits great. Now I can look like the ol mariner. Hate the oil coat and hood so now at least can lose the hood. Keeping the 2nd one in the package incase I get married some day and need to look presentable

Overall I am very happy with my HH rain hat. The Southwester style with an extended back brim keep the rain from running down my back. I plan on using it for walking the kids to school and coaching soccer games when it is raining. While my rain jackets have hoodies, I don't like the reduced peripheral visibility, and that I have to turn my body to look to the left or right in order to avoid looking into the inside of my hoodie.So why only 3 stars? The colour selection is very limited - Bright yellow and dark green. I get it that this isn't a fashion piece but a few more colour choices would be fun. I was also surprised at how ugly the welded seams connecting the hat to the brim were. See the attached photo for what I am talking about - on my hat there was extra PVC material bulging out of the seam. It shouldn't affect the waterproofing or durability of the hat but I consider HH a premium brand and these ugly seams have the feel of factory seconds.I did appreciate the chin strap and cotton lining. I expect I will get a lot of use out of this hat over the years and partially for this reason, it is so disappointing that the workmanship is not up to standards.
