If you're like me you searched for the highest rated kite on Amazon that is decently priced. I'm not a big kite flyer and this is the first kite I've ever purchased, but this one seems nice. It was pretty straightforward to assemble and it stays in the air with a slight breeze. I get a weird number of compliments on it from people of all ages. Good way to get outside and enjoy some fresh air. I recommend it.

This bad boy is fun! It’s the perfect fit for our 4 y/o, whom flies it by himself easily. The image of the dragon is vibrant and formidable without being intimidating or scary. It’s lightweight, but sturdy, and responds to tugs and slack. The swirling tail adds flare to the look of it both cosmetically and in flight. It’s just a helluvalotta fun! Would buy it for friends and family. My only complaint is that the kite line is a little thin and too short.

Works great but must have a decent wind to fly it in. Gusty conditions or low wind velocity can make flying this kite tuff.

I haven’t flown a kite in about 50 years. The instructions left a bit to be desired, but there are only a couple of pieces, so the pictures sufficed. It’s nice that today’s kites don’t involve fragile items like thin paper and balsa wood sticks. This kite features a material like parachute fabric along with plastic rods. Quite durable.Once assembled, this kite was like a wild horse wanting to take off! It flies like a champ! It looks great in the sky and is so much fun!I do recommend parental guidance to put it together the first time. Afterwards, anyone can put it together.For $16 and change, it’s a fantastic kite!

This is a pretty nice kite, very nice looking in the air, with a nice spiraling tail. It was only flown a few times, but seemed to fly fairly easily and well, with some diving tendency (wouldn't be hard to add a little weight at the bottom if it is needed). Unfortunately, the second time flown by grandson, it broke. He said that it hit the ground (couldn't have been very high). Examination found a broken piece of strut - cracked and wobbly. A couple of spare struts are included. Great! But, they are apparently wing struts and the center line strut is thinner, a different size, so the spare wouldn't fit into the center ferrule. Okay, no problem, surely they have some customer service....right? Well I see no way to contact them here, including at the Amazon Hengda Kite store. But a google search for the company did produce links to their home site, which had contact info, including an email address (a little odd, cnkite@hdkite.cn, but that is the email domain for China, Outlook accepted it and sent the message w/o problem). So I send them a nice email with order number, explaining the problem, telling them I'm not seeking to return the kite but asking if they could simply send me a replacement thin strut so I could fix it. Alas! No response! What can you do? Fortunately, Amazon immediately accepted a return for a full refund. Moral of the story: Companies with better customer service should get your business. A similar kite company (of interest, using packaging identical to Hengda) here at Amazon is Mint's Colorful Life. I don't see their contact info here either, but it is on their site and they are very responsive. They register your purchase and extend their one year warranty. Their Eagle kite is great for young children! Oh, and their kite string is superior to that of Hengda, stronger and longer.

This is a beautiful , bright kite. We flew it at the beach and had many complements by people passing by. It was easy to assemble and very easy to fly! I especially love the tail of this kite. It spirals and makes the kite look even more beautiful!
