I have had this ball a few weeks now. My 100lb rottie tries to bite it, scratch it, chases it down and jumps completely on top of it, and it has held up perfectly. Get a bike pump to inflate it, it needs a lot of air and a regular basketball pump will take you close to an hour taking breaks. I also do not inflate it until it is completely hard, just firm enough for him to not get a grip on it with his teeth. Very happy, he popped the last herding ball I got him in under 30 seconds.

UPDATE:Did not hold up but a couple weeks. I tried to contact seller for a replacement but got nothing. Waste of money. 😢We have a German Shepherd that chomps through ANYTHING! So far, he has not been able to get paws or teeth on this ball. 🙠I bought it to help keep my cow from getting too bored. She actually plays with it! So freaking cute!!! Definitely recommend!!

They gave me a full refund. But it would be a great ball for a dog that is not an aggressive chewer

I pumped it up tight thinking it would be bite proof since it's so large. But, there is a critical design flaw with the fake seams instead of being a totally smooth surface. Within just a few minutes my dog (which is only 100lbs and not a monster) had discovered this design flaw and was using the valley of the seams to lodge his teeth in and was tearing the exterior of the ball with gouges. Within 30 minutes or less he was able to create a hole and once the ball deflated, he simply ripped it to shreds. So it is NOT for any large breed determined dog. Nice ball though and they say they will replace it if punctured but there's no point because now that he knows the secret, the next one won't last 15 minutes. I guess I'll have to find a smooth plastic instead of this rough inflatable. My bad.

We have a GSP that is an aggressive chewer but this ball is still doing great! It is made of quality materials and have enough layers to prevent leaking. Our dog loves “herding†it around the pool! A+++ Seller with fast deliveries and no hassle.

The previous "herding" ball I gave to my rough playing labrador lasted about a week before the outer lining started to split because of his teeth getting into the seams. So, I ordered a new cover for the ball. That lasted another week. Finally, I got this ball. What a difference! He plays with it so far and can't get his teeth into the thick shiny surface of the ball. Looks good so far! I don't think you'll find a better made ball besides getting a hard plastic one. I have that also, but when he's running it, I can hear his front legs making a hard contact with the hard surface of the plastic. Don't think its good for his bones and joints. If your dog might do the same thing, get a softer ball, like this one!

Purchased because of the lifetime replacement warranty. Ball didn’t last long (couple months) and attempted to initiate a warranty claim for a replacement… well, good luck trying to get a response from seller let alone get a replacement. Save yourself the trouble and purchase a different product.
