I recently bought a slightly-used ski boat and was disappointed it didn't have a stereo system. My old boat did, and it was used many times to play CDs and listen to FM radio. But these days, a receiver is not needed--just use your phone via Bluetooth!So I bought this Bluetooth speaker setup. The 4" speakers are great for midrange and are mounted unobtrusively in the interior fiberglass sidewalls midship. They are dual-cone, so a concentric tweeter takes care of the highs. The setup is plenty loud enough to hear on a running ski boat and the Bluetooth takes just a couple of seconds to connect. Very nice sound --BUT-- of course, no bass, because the mounting location allows the bass from the back side to escape and cancel out the bass from the front of the speaker.So in addition I bought a very nice woofer from "Sound Storm" (Amazon, natch) that is built like a tank and drives a self-contained 8" woofer. Also extremely inexpensive. The woofer normally is mounted under a front car seat but in the boat it is mounted under the dashboard on the carpeted floor in an unobtrusive area.Together the system sounds remarkably good, and I speak as an Audio Engineer with many years of recordings under my belt. The Herdio speakers do an amazing job, especially considering the noisy environment.

I was very skeptical about buying this initially because of the cheap price. You know you get what you pay for usually lol. However, install was pretty easy. When I connected my I phone to the speaker and played music. I was blown alway by how loud they got and the clarity. BTW I consider myself an audiophile. So for the money these things sound great. Also fyi, the speakers will sound better once you put them into the wall as opposed to how they sound when you play them sitting on the counter to make sure they work before installing them.

These are great for the money. Only down side is volume has to be done on your device. Sound is good and easy to install. I used them where I had a couple of can lights. You do need a power source.

They were actually exactly what I expected and perform really even better than I thought they would. Great value for performance, at least for now I guess. Cutting the right size hole took a bit, but who cares, just cut a hole and keep cutting it bigger til it fits 🤷🏻‍♂️. It’s just Sheetrock. The toughest part was getting in the attic and running some wire but all in all it works great. I installed a handy box with a receptacle to plug in the power pack and I put the little amp or driver in the attic between the boards and connected the positive and negative and man it’s great. I have it connected to my lighting so the speakers are only on whenever the lights are on. I’m not one to ever sit in the bathtub with candles. Only downside to wiring it to the lights is that it does make a few rapid beep sounds every time it turns on, but it prevents Bluetooth staying connected when I walk away so it’s alright. And if several devices are connected to the speakers, and you have it wired to the switch like me, then it will connect to whichever device is closest. No damage from water or condensation or anything from being in the shower. The mounting is old work style and wasn’t an issue. I will be adding in another speaker on the other side soon. Sits exactly what I expected for watching/listening to YouTube or TV or podcasts in the shower. No delay from video to sound output either. There’s a little bass to them, depends on the song if you’re listening to music, but overall are mids. Not subs or highs. Overall really great speaker especially for the price. If you’re a freak about quality sound, then obviously you shouldn’t go with these and you should be looking to spend too much money on speakers instead of getting a good value like with these. Would recommend to others.

Super easy install. Sound is very good for their size, of course dont expect deep bass out of them but they do have good sound. I got tired of bluetooth speakers constantly going dead because I forget to charge them, so these for me are great. Like another reviewer had mentioned they do turn on at almost full volume, just be prepared to turn them down everytime you go to use them. I wired mine into a switch in my kitchen so I can shut them on and off when I want.
