I purchased this mic case to protect my Rode mic while traveling. The red cradle snapped away from my current Rode mic housing (I still don’t know how it happened). So, I ordered this case as a preventative measure. It’s very sturdy with a strong zipper closure. My mic fits perfectly.

High quality materials. Neoprene like outer shell, very soft and pleasing to the touch. Zipper is very sturdy and easy to open and close. Interior is so very soft! All stitching looks great...should hold up a long time. Comes with carabiner that can be attached to metal loop on outer case...handy! With it I can clip the case to any other case for convenience - no need to cram it into an already full case, just clip it on! Perfect size for sunglasses too, even the larger 3D glasses.UPDATE: one small hiccup...one case of the two I bought is slightly smaller than the other and the mic gets squished.

Based on the description and the size of my Deity microphone, this case should have been a perfect fit. However, it's a little bit snug. Even if nothing is in the pocket, there's barely enough space for the boot/connector. And while I do appreciate the pocket (as the batteries need taken out when not in use and there is the connector cord) the pocket doesn't actually hold spare items in place.The case itself is pretty solid. Zipper is a bit difficult as the fit is tight. Wrist band is helpful. Overall construction great.A few centimeters in depth and something to secure the pocket shut would go a long way in making this a better product. For the price, it'll get the job done.

Until I found this Hermitshell EVA Hard Protective Case that is designed specifically for the Fode Video Mic, I was trying all sorts of ways to protect and transport my mic. This case has solved the problem of needing lightweight protection that fits like a glove for the Rode mic.

I made this purchase a few years ago and haven't regretted it. Simply put, it does the job that it's advertised to do. The case is light but thick and sturdy enough to protect what is inside. My Rode mic fits snugly in the bottom of the case and the audio cable fits in the pouch in the top of the case. I recommend this case.

Fits the Rode Video Mic Go (included with the Canon 80D Video Creator Kit), even with the Rode-branded dead cat. Tight fit, but it works. Easier fit with the standard foam cover. Should provide adequate protection for travel.

Unfortunately, as you can see in the photo the case was to large for my Rode VideoMic NTG On-Camera Shotgun Microphone. Quality of the case was alright but not functional for my purposes.
