The bristle brush is Wonderful for our 10 week old puppy. It is soft to the touch but strong enough to reach the 2nd layer of hair to remove dirt and loose hair.The handle of the brush fits our hands perfectly.

I bought this for my brother and have copied and pasted his review below.“Full disclosure: I use this brush as a secondary brush to my de-matting brush, but I really like this brush for the purpose I use it for.My dog has a thick coat (beagle German Shepherd mix) and sheds quite a bit. I use this brush as a secondary brush to my de-matting brush. That is, I comb my dog with the de-matting brush and to get rid of any tangles, as well as get loose fur under her top coat, and then brush my dog with this brush. This brush works to get any remaining loose fur that is caught on the top layer of her coat. It works to remove the stragglers as well as making her coat shiny and super soft! This brush is great for sensitive dogs that may not like other brushes as it is very gentle.â€

The hair isn’t the easiest to get out one you’re done grooming your pet. But my golden sheds a lot so this brush helps keep the hair in check and it smooths our her top coat very well. Over all I’d say this is a pretty good brush for dogs that have thicker coats. It worked pretty good on my cat to, but he’s on the bigger side so it might not work well on a smaller cat because the brush is on the bigger side

This brush works for both my dogs the bristols are not to soft or too stiff. Wash with dawn dish detergent after their grooming cleans well and dries fast would highly recommed

The Bristles on the brush are too soft and doesn't remove much hair and I know my dog has plenty. It just kind of slides over her hair. It doesn't get in between the hair. We misplaced our old brush so I bought this one. In the meantime we found the old brush. It works quite a bit better. The bristles are soft enough but not nearly as soft as the new brush. The old brush works better and has metal bristles on the other side.

This dog brush is just what I was looking for. The brush is made really well and the handle is perfect for holding when brushing my dog. The bristles are hard but not to hard and it brushes through my dogs short hair easy and gets all the loose hairs. My dog does not mind it either. Usually she will try to run away when I brush her but not when I used this brush. I am very happy with this purchase and would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone.

I ORDERED A 2ND BRUSH..LOVE ITTime will tell but this brush appears to be sturdy. A great selling point for me was the handle is NOT wood. My English Setter pup chews anything wood--* if he can get to it-- SO with this he is less interested. If he grabs it while in use..no damage done. VERY surprised at the quality... an impulse buy because I could not find a nice brush in the pet supply stores here...too soft or too stiff.I just received the second brush I ordered..I want one to use no matter what room I'm in when I need it..... It does clean his coat of the yard debris and gives a nice massage as well. THANK YOU !,

It just doesn't work very well on my Yorkie's fur. The bristles are densely packed and don't do anything except glide across the top of her fur. I would need to press hard to try get the brush through her fur and I'm not putting my dog through that. She's a senior dog who doesn't like getting brushed as it is. I thought a softer brush would make brushing a little more of a pleasant experience for her but unfortunately this just doesn't work for her needs. The quality is excellent and the bristles are soft. Might be more suited to short and medium length fur.

Our cat loves the Bristle Brush and can’t wait for her morning brushing. However, it doesn’t remove hair like we hoped it would. It’s a very nice quality brush. Just not very effective.
