This is the second abacus I purchased; the first was W-A-Y too small for my large hands! It feels really nice to use, and the reset bars work perfectly. It even comes with a booklet that gives basic instruction in using the abacus for simple mathematical functions.Overall, it seems to be well-built, and it's comfortable for me to work with.

I don't know why but I love this thing.I wanted to teach my daughter how to use an abacus. So I... had to learn to use an abacus. Hence getting this thing.I learned how to use it from the manual plus some YouTube videos. It's super fun to use. I'm mad I never learned this as a kid! I know I would have spent way too long practicing to be really fast with it and competing with my other geeky friends.It seems really well made and is just... satisfying to look at and manipulate (and listen to). Not sure how to explain it really.

Bought two of them and thinking about getting another for our entire class (ages 6-9). They aren't cheap but so far the quality seems really good. The only part I'm not sure of is the dots, they don't line up with any rods, they are in between rods. Not sure if that is how they are supposed to be because the instructions show them lining up with the rods but it doesn't really matter, I think we prefer them the way they are. Really hope they last, looks like they will based on how sturdy it is. Wood isn't cheap either. Thanks!
