I'm a violin teacher. Students tend to be ROUGH on their rosin, dropping it regularly and banging things around. So they come into their lessons with shattered cakes of rosin. I now keep these handy for those whose parents have difficulty replacing rosin. Good enough quality to keep bows playing, cheap enough that I won't care if it also gets broken. If you're looking for a product for a very advanced student or a professional, this isn't it for long term use. But for younger students who are clumsy, get this instead of more expensive stuff that they'll break in two weeks.
