If you want a countersink that does not chatter you need 1 cutting edge. This bit is very good. I use it mostly on wood and aluminum but I have used it on stainless steel (with cutting oil). It works well, is long enough to countersink holes near an edge, and feels heavy in the hand. I am very happy with this countersink and hope to have it for a long time.

Not hard enough for stainless. I think the back cut angle isn’t steep enough on the flute.
