How to Use Car Safety Hammer？
1.Remove the cover.Note: Since the cover is tight, it is recommended to rotate and remove the covers on both sides
2.Align the notch with the side of the seat belt and push the side forward to cut the seat belt
3.Choose the weakest four corners of the nearest side window and give it a good press, rather than front and rear windshields or the middle position of the side windows. Then clear the glass fragments and escape.

Without this tool you may be trapped in your car with nothing to break the safety glass. With this tool it will allow to to break the glass and escape to safety in seconds. Well worth the small investment!

This product seems to be solidly made, was easy to mount, and would be quickly accessible in an emergency. Hopefully I will never need to use it so I cannot say how it will work in an actual emergency. The only problem I encountered was that the O-rings used to hold the caps on would not stay in place. One broke completely and the other would come off when the cap was removed. I finally decided that in an emergency I would not want to take the time to remove the cap anyway, so I have just left them off. It is still a good looking, easy to clean, package without the caps in place.

These escape tools are easy to use and also have a seatbelt cutter. So for emergency exit from a vehicle they would definitely come in handy. They appear to be well made and are small enough you can store then pretty much anywhere in your vehicle. I put mine in the center console so it is accessible to driver or passenger.

After viewing the latest bridge collapse I decided to update my OUTDATED safety hammer I have in our two vehicles. The two devices come with a piece of glass to test the hammer...ingenious idea! Years ago I purchased another style safety hammer and it never came with sample glass to test device. The glass samples is a GREAT selling point as you really don't know it's going to work if you can't try it out first - so kudos who thought of this! This nifty device will cut through your seat belt as well. I noticed one of the other reviewers stated they marked the window punch end with whiteout. I plan on doing the same with either white nail polish or a reflector type paint - in an emergency if your vehicle has plunged in to water it may be easier to see the highlighted end of the safety hammer in a PANIC situation. Hope it never has to be used! This neat gadget could save your life or love ones... Good price and well made.

This is a really cool gadjet for the car. It sticks to the dashboard and is handy to grab in an emergency. Those workers who died in the Baltimore bridge collapse died because they were eating in their cars on a break, and could not escape once the cars hit the water. I’m not willing to die like that. I can swim and now I’ve got a window breaker and seatbelt cutter and I’m going to try to make it out alive. The kit comes with two discs of auto safety glass that you can practice on, and it is impressive. I cross a bridge every day. Worth the price for peace of mind.

The packaging for the "Vehicle Mounted Safety Hammer"protected the tool. Only use guidance was on back - very vague. No mention made of the round piece of glass incl. to test break glass: Could have been missed or tossed. English instruction bad: " Safety hammer: use your head to gently press the four corners of the window. It can break glass." Was "head" a typo for "hand"?? Why would you press your HEAD against laminated glass you were about to shatter w/ spring- loaded lool? in n emergency. Which way is the glass going to explode-out or back toward your head? At what critical point on glass- the center, anywhere? Add advice that "Cap rims will need a bit of car wax to ease cap removal". They stick otherwise. Belt cutter info instruction is clear. Well made tool though. Review software refused to upload image of package instruction to see how vague/ confusing it is on the hammer.

This tool is as safe as the description said it was. It comes with a piece of tempered glass for you to try breaking and won't be startled if an emergency arises where you do have to break the window. It also comes with a little manual which has pictures and text. Easy to read and understand. One of the best things I have bought in quite a while. Highly recommend.

Very effective product and works without significant pressure meaning anyone can use it. Test glass samples are a great idea so you know how it works in the event you ever need to use it. One end cap is a little loose but nothing to be overly concerned about.
