I've been using Hana Alk tester for years and I've always run into the problem of developing particulate as I neared the end of the reagent. I looked around and read about others' experiences. I tested the theory of keeping the bottle refrigerated and limit air exposure by only poking a hole for the syringe (instead of peeling the seal that doesn't want to come off anyway), and it worked. Emptied the bottle without any floating bits.

Easy test with accurate results. As my corals have grown, it has become increasingly important to test alk levels since they're depleting what's in my salt mix pretty quickly and without dosing, I'd have a pretty big alk swing with water changes. This is an invaluable tool to have in your arsenal.
