I have ceramic white knobs on closet doors where dirt tends to accumulate on the paint under the knob from dirty fingers. These backplates were perfect to lift the knob higher off the door front and protect the paint from dirt. They look perfect and are much easier to clean than fragile paint.My only complaint is that Amazon would only allow me to buy three at a time so I had to make three separate purchases to get the nine backplates I required for my house.

Mounted behind the matching knob, my doors do not show wear or accumulate grimeon their white painted finish. Just what I needed.

Be careful tightening these up, they are very brittle and can crack easily.
