Purchased for an antique armoire to accentuate a pair of vintage knobs (not pictured). Note that, while the seller has included a photo of these backplates with a faux style key pull as an example of how this item can be used, no knobs/pulls are included in this purchase. However, the seller does offer these items separately and at a fair cost. I did not notice when ordering that these backplates cannot be oriented to mirror each other. I do tend to fixate on details like this and forwarded a photo to family who stated that they would not have noticed had it not been pointed out to them. Shipping was prompt and installation self explanatory. The backplates are solid, good quality, and intricately detailed. Though I was second guessing myself on opting for this 6†size, I am pleased with the amount of interest it adds without dominating the piece. The brass color with antiquing mimics the original antique brass hinges of the armoire—neither overly gold nor orangey undertones. These backplates did come with 2 finish nails each which I do plan to use once the doors have been affixed to the armoire and any necessary adjustments have been made. Overall, I am not disappointed and would recommend these backplates to others. Do be aware that if you find asymmetry bothersome, you may be more satisfied with a different style of hardware.***UPDATE: Project complete and so pretty! I didn’t end up using the included finish nails as these vintage doors are delicate and slightly finicky. The backplates stay in place without the finish nails. While I REALLY wish this hardware mirrored itself, I find that detail less bothersome now that the armoire has been put back together.
