My Maltese has high liver enzymes & am feeding this mixed in with other wet food. This food is a bit dry & my dog doesn't like it on its own so I mix with other brands. Am taking him back for follow up appt soon, so will have to see how his next bloodwork panel is then.

The product is good quality and has the proper ingredients. Reordering it is a pain.

It took a couple of days for my dog to get use to it. Comes in a loaf in the can. Hard to smash up. But results are great. Has helped my dog a lot. Have kept her on it for 3 yrs. My dog is small and I smash it up with dry prescription dog food.

I have a yorkie with a liver shunt and it has helped a lot with how she feels. It is easier on her digestive system. It is a little on the pricey side.

I previously reviewed the wet food and wanted to add a review for the dry food and noted that they are lumped together (as are the Q & As). Despite being from the same product line, they are dramatically different formulations. I've added photos of the guaranteed analysis for reference (largest discrepancy is minimum fat of 19% for dry and 6% for wet). There's a Hill's response in the Q & As that says the fat is 23% but it's still unknown what the maximum fat % is.Previous Review for the wet: "The product itself is great but the shipping damage dramatically raises the price per can cost."Review for the dry: "On a combination of the dry and wet Hill's Liver care diet plus Denamarin & Ursodiol, my dog's liver enzymes did improve but she developed pancreatitis, high cholesterol and high triglycerides in less than a year. If using, suggest you get fasting labs run on your dog every 6 months to check for changes and adapt as needed."
