The weight is heavy enough for grapevines, but it won't straighten out. It stays bent.

We bought a set of clothesline poles from Amazon and when we finally put them up we used this line. This line is extremely sturdy and seems like it will last indefinitely. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

The write up may be a bit misleading.This is a single strand of very stiff wire, not multi strands in the plastic coating.Pretty stiff.Can be a pain to un coil but you can do it if you try hard enough.

This wire was a back up choice for another wire I had gotten. In this case, it seemed the wire I needed, but when I got it in, I found the other wire suited me better. This wire has a large inner wire with a thin blue vinyl covering over it. This wire is thick and bends but is harder to bend and tends to hold it's bend shape when bend. It is flexible but bending a small amount of it could take a pair of pliers. I used this wire for an indoor clothes line that needed to go over the tops of two closet doors but couldn't be attached to the doors themselves. I did this by bending the ends of each wire back on itself to make a hook kind of end which I then hooked over the doors so as the hooks tended to pull down on the wire. This worked out pretty well. It should work really great for out door clothes line wire. Good wire!

For those who are wondering, the core is solid steel, not stranded/braided. It's not as flexible as the brained type, but it also means it won't flex as much either. I used this wire to hang patio lights, and the rigidity of the line works out for me.

Did say what the line actually was.. it is not a multiple strand wire but a single strand alloy which bends. Not worth buying.
