I was careful to drill slow using smaller bits working up to 3/8. Stuck it in and smacked with hammer. Just be careful to drill the hole a little deeper than you think you need.

Worked great in a CMU (concrete blocks) wall. Use same size drill as sleeve anchor ... position your item to be mounted and drill right through the mounting holes, insert anchor and tighten nut. Done !

I put up a sail sun screen to prevent my plants from dying and also keep the back patio cool during the 105-117 degree heat. Problem with this anchor is not the material, it's the length of it. I am using it on a cinder block and the body of the ancho is not long enough to protrude past the cinder block wall to anchor much stronger. Other than that, the material is heavy duty.
