Amazing how often I've needed an anchor, things around the house. From cords to holiday decorations. I keep them on hand.

These are the same old fence staples as ever, never easy to use but that’s not the point. It’s a small box, one pound won’t get you far, five pounds would be better for a small project and it’s not like they will wear out being stored someplace dry. Cardboard box they come in it kind of a joke, will last about as long as a snowball in hell. Hopefully a bigger box would cost less. I’m still irritated that I forgot to buy some the last time I was at Home Depot.

People are claiming false advertising. It clearly states you are getting a 1.1 lb box and people think they are getting 5 lbs....SMH. The only 5 in the add is that the staples are 1.5 inches in legnth. They are great and work as they should, I recommend them and that people READ the add when ordering.

After the tenth one bent after starting into post (and yes I know how to put in fence staples) I'd say the odd shape of the squared off head may be the issue. The o es i have used before may have had one or two bend out of an entire fencing project, but never the first 10 straight out of the box. Stopped using them after that because whats the point.

The fence staples look like they are great quality but I figured there would be more than I received. There was not an amount in the headline but in the product descriptions it stated the product is 5lbs. When I received the product it was just a 1 lb box. I could have went to the store and bought the same amount for half the price.

Comes in both 1 lb (about 70 staples) and 5# box - check which product (on separate description pages) you are ordering from. The reviews appear to relate to both box sizes, hence the 1# / 5# issue. I WISH Amazon would not merge reviews from multiple similar items from a vendor in all the comments for each item - reviews on a product page should be ONLY for that page's product. Or at least say "review for related item" or something like that to make it clear. This sort of confusion happens a LOT.Note there are 9 gauge staples (which these are) which is the standard "commercial" weight for this type of fencing product, then some companies sell "retail consumer" lighter weight 11 gauge or 12 gauge ones (the ones that easily fold over or sideway when hammering).Note - makes no intuitive sense, but the higher the gauge (thickness) number the THINNER it is, and the lower the number the thicker it is. However, the thickness difference per step in numbers is NOT uniform. To give you a feel for thicknesses - take galvanized HVAC ducting. If less than about 14" in maximum width or diameter, typically 26-30 gauge depending on manufacturer and local building codes. Larger commercial building ductwork typically 18-24 gauge depending on size. Auto bodies are usually around 18-20 gauge - sometimes 14-18 for hoods, doors and floorpans to provide more safety or dent protection.

Description says 5lbs only came with one pound. False advertising.
