Fit perfectly on the NG fire place. The original assembly would rust and block the gas flow and need cleaned yearly before cold weather. We’ll see how this one performs but so far it works great. The price point is much lower than the name brands and it was a plug and play install. You will need metric open end wrenches but any DIYer can handle this replacement.

My fireplace is 18 years old and the thermopile went out causing the flame not to come on. I decided rather to just replace it I would buy this which included a new thermopile, thermocouple, pilot light and the striker for the pilot light (which hadn’t worked in years) I’m an old fat guy and I changed it all in less a half hour so it’s probably about a 10 minute job but it works perfectly. The local fireplace shop was wanting about $300 to come out and replace just the thermopile. I replaced everything for less than $40.

Worked good for 6 months. I also replaced the gas valve but the thermopile assembly failed to work after 6 months. I contacted the vender of the gas valve from Allparts and they informed me that the thermopile assembly is the problem. Allparts sent me a OEM certified thermopile assembly. That corrected the problem. I was told that this particular thermopile is a knock off. Don't buy this one.

This product was exactly what we needed to repair our gas fireplace. I would have given it 5 stars but we had to return the first one, it was defective.
