4 Steps to Diagnose Old Ignition Coil
Test the kill switch
Attach multimeter's one probe to kill switch wire, other to ground. Flip kill switch off; if resistance changes, switch is good.
Step-2. Remove old spark plug
Remove spark plug from cylinder Then reattach it to spark plug boot.
Step-3. Check for Spark
Ground spark plug electrode on the engine block. Pull the recoil starter, check for spark.
Step-4. New Spark Plug Test
Install a new spark plug, repeat Step-3. No spark means the ignition coil is bad.

Could not find the stock electronic ignition replacement for my Kohler cv25 replaced with these coils and it fired right up and runs fine.

Worked great , easy install.was a good value. Fired up instantly , no more sluggish starts , runs like a top now. Hopefully will for a long time . Definitely reccomend.

So far so good. Mowed the lawn 6 or so times since install. Slightly different than the originals but fit and function are good. Made very good spark after install and proper adjustment. You could use a business card but the recommended gap is less than the thickness of a business card. Worth it to just grab a set of feeler gauges.

Don’t buy this Jung I put them on and still wouldn’t crank! Had to take it to a shop and they took them off and replaced them with open coil that worked and replaced the plugs that came with them and charged me 89 $ each for coils and the total job to fix my garden tractor with choler magnum 25.5 hr was 400 and some change and give me back all my parts I bought from amozon and said they wouldn’t work even the new carb I bought to go along with it! Course I couldn’t send any of it back cause the 30 days had past by then so thanks a lot amozon ! Got screwed again but I want again that will be my last parts buying from amozon they also got me on a whole clutch assembly for my f250 ford truck it will barely go in gear after 2 shops tried to fix it reputable shops to ! Gone have to buy an assembly from ford they said to ever fix it right and I paid 2/3 what ford charges for their parts plus pay now another 400$ plus labor 400$ to get it fixed right thanks amozon thanks a lot !!!!!!!!!
