This is a must have if you have the 3 point bridge in your Thunderbird. Easy to install. Had to tweak the truss rod just a tad. They are easy to get set up once installed. I’m a novice at doing things to my guitars but I took the challenge on to replace it and I was surprised how easy it was. The most important thing is to be patient when setting up. I used the strings that I had on it before just to perform all of the adjustments. That’s a great idea because by the time I was done with the set up, the old strings had been through the ringer. The sound is incredible. Mind sounds like a completely different guitar! The sustain is unbelievable. I have two Fender PJ Basses and another Gibson Thunderbird that is a 2018 model. It came with a Babicz bridge installed from the factory. From my I understanding the Babicz are installed from Gibson on models that began in 2015 and newer. I’m very satisfied with the Babicz as it makes full contact with the body. The factory 3 point bridge on my 2014 Thunderbird was horrible. Wouldn’t stay in tune and the adjustments were at their full travel I. The low E string. Best move I ever made in replacing it with the Hipshot. It just became my go to bass. But one, you won’t be disappointed.

I installed this on my '95 Gibson Thunderbird. The install was pretty straight forward, I did have to reset one of the ferrels to hold the new screws (simply glued it in with wood glue and set it back in place). This bridge is so easy to adjust and does make a noticeable difference in tone. BTW, the third adjustment screw toward on each of the saddles is to adjust the horizontal string position.

I bought one of these in black mostly for looks on my Gibson SG SE bass. The black looks really nice against the light, natural finish. I may get another for a blue Gibson Les Paul Jr. I recently got...Again, really more for the looks of the black bridge. This one is easy to adjust. I've gotten pretty comfortable with setting-up the Gibson 3-point bridge over the years. I have them on 8 different basses. This one is easier to adjust. I like the easier, faster string replacement on the original 3 point however. The individual string height adjustment with this one is nice to have, but most of my Gibson basses have nearly perfect necks, so the 3-point is sufficient. If your neck or fret-work is less than perfect, this extra adjust-ability would be a good thing. This bridge may have added a little bit to the sustain, but it's very slight if it did. I think the whole sustain thing is WAY over-rated for bass anyway. Guitar yes, bass no. The sound may be slightly brighter as well, but the difference is hard to notice if there is any, especially with flats. Might be more noticeable with rounds.

Easy install, remove old, install new. Purchased this bridge, as the original bridge saddles do not allow further lowering of the strings. Neither did this replacement bridge :( As shown in the pictures, the saddles are already bottomed out at their lowest position. For my taste, I'd like that low E string at 2mm. Cannot do this with replacement bridge. I will leave it on anyways.

I've had a love/hate relationship with most recent Gibson basses due to their "3 point bridge", which is, in this humble bassists opinion, worthless! I recently purchased a 2013 Gibson Thunderbird bass. I'd been wanting one for years. Of course, it has the 3 point bridge. When I received the bass, the action was just a little too high for me, so I began to lower the bridge a bit. As soon as I did, the ferrules that hold the bridge onto the body, just pulled right out of said body. It was at that point that I started looking for a replacement bridge. I wasn't even sure I could find one that would work. After using some Franklin Titebond Liquid Hide Wood Glue to hold the ferrules in place I started checking out bridges and came across this one designed by Hipshot specifically FOR Gibson basses. Received it and man, I am blown away. It is a massive bridge and fits onto the existing ferrules perfectly. It also comes in contact with the body of the bass, thereby increasing sustain. And the tone of the bass is just amazing. If Gibson was smart, they would start installing the Hipshot Bridge on all of their basses that utilize the 3 point bridge. It turned my Thunderbird into a bass MONSTER!!! So get one for your Gibson bass. You won't be sorry. And you'll probably kick yourself for not doing it sooner.

This bridge fit perfectly on my Thunderbird bass. Took away the annoying fret buzz and really helped with the intonation. I used Hipshot products on all my Bass projects, from tuner extender to bridge's A+

Went on super easy. Great replacement for the cheap bridge on my eBay chibson flying V bass. I was nervous that the threads wouldn't line up correctly or that the bridge posts wouldn't line up. Everything lined up just fine, which makes sense because they probably copied the patent to make the fake bridge that was on it. This bridge is high mass and feels really solid. Not to mention, I have more adjustability to make the action much lower without fretting out on one string, but being open on the other.

I took a chance and bought one of these a while back to put on one of my Gibson Thunderbirds. Loved it so much I bought another one to put on other T-Bird. Great product!
