The quality of these is great! I don't normally play in the dark but the color does make it easy to see whenever you are, they're lasting us a while and aren't easy to break. They can handle a lot of plays, highly recommend these.

I've been getting badminton equipment so my wife and I can play a sport together since badminton can be played with similar strength level regardless of man or woman. These birdies looked like they would be fun and allow us to play even at night in our backyard. The ones we received were all yellow, 3 with orange fluorescent light and 3 with green fluorescent light. One came with the light already turned on so that one is actually a weaker light than the others (I wonder how long it's been on!) The switches inside the birdie are such that even smacking the birdie won't break the switch. I wouldn't say these are the highest quality birdie, they have kind of a hard hit off the racket, but the plastic is durable, we will see about the light itself. The listing says you can replace the batteries, but does not say what type of battery...guess that will be figured out when you try to replace one. All in all these are a clever idea, made well, and a good price for 6.

Better than you can expect for a mere 9 bucks. Decent plastic birdies in their own right, playing at night rocks. 1 of 6 didn't illuminate as shipped, but took the light unit out and it started working with just a little fiddling (I think one of the LED wires was touching the wrong side of the battery. Batteries can be replaced (1 CR927 lithium button cell each), although new batteries are half the cost of whole new birdies. The one LED in each birdie consumes very little power, so should last quite a long time between the 6 as long as you remember to switch them off when not playing.

I am using these in a pole style badminton trainer on the back deck. Everything is nicely made and the battery powered light is a hoot. It definitely makes for an excellent target as the days get shorter. I do not feel confident enough with my skills to use them in the dark.I do not know if the battery can be replaced, and do not want to dismantle the thing to find out while it still works. I hope that it can.I don’t need this product, but I am certainly happy that I have them.

My kids enjoy playing a game of lawn badminton every now and then. But the shuttlecock that was included in our badminton set wasn't great: it may have been made entirely out of plastic. This set, these badminton shuttlecocks look quite a bit better. The tip seems to be made of a durable rubber: can't wait to see the glow in the dark part. But for now, I'm just grateful for the overall better quality. Good product!

Our family has recently taken up badminton, but we always have to stop at dusk as it gets too hard to see the birdie. This makes it SUPER fun - not only it a novelty (seriously kids like anything that lights up), but it gives better visibility and lets us extend play.Comes in a sturdy tube also, so good for wrapping or stocking-stuffer.
