This has gotten a lot of attention. I use a hitch mount that provides two hitch racks - one for my bike and one for the hammock. Very sturdy.

It's not big enough for a full size hammock and puts you to low to the ground. I have a jeep on 35s. I wouldn't trust it to lay in.

Why didn't it come with a storage bag? The hammock stand sets up and takes down very easily and seems to be very sturdy! We haven't used it other than setting it up on the back of our jeep in the driveway but it was comfortable with enough setback from the jeep to keep us away from the rear mounted spare tire. I think we will enjoy it on camping trips and picnic excursions. Now for the big downside: It didn't come with a storage bag to keep the components in while not being used!! Why?? Even a cheap nylon zipper bag would be sufficient to keep the poles and hammock in so the don't roll around in the bag while driving. This could have very easily been a five star item if it had a storage option. Even if it pushed the price up a few dollars it would have been ok. I would probably buy this again because I really like it but it could have perfect...

It works. It does not come with instructions so you need to figure it out, which was not too hard. You can not leave on your vehicle a=whole for it sticks out. It does not fold up but comes apart easily.

Be the envy of people who aren't lounging in hammocks. This one goes with me to the lake's edge so I can relax and enjoy.
