Technically, I'd give this 4.5 stars. The light itself is great. Brightness is not a problem. Mostly satisfied with the illumination and flash patterns available. I do wish it would flash with each color individually (i.e. Green, Yellow, Green, Yellow, etc) but it mostly alternates side to side at different flash speeds or double flashes. For the cost though, it's fine. My biggest issue was the mounting. The roof of my truck has raised "ribs", and the magnetic base isn't adjustable by turning the brackets around or anything and the mounts land right on those ribs, resulting in the light not being very secure. Ended up using this on another vehicle without those ribs on the roof. The magnets are strong on flat surfaces.

I am using this on a Freightliner delivery truck to improve safety/visibility. It's pretty much identical to all the other lights in this format.I've had this light for 2 months, and the only reason I've waited so long to review is that we haven't had sufficient precipitation during use to allow comment on the weather-proofing quality--which is what I've found to be the most important distinction/measurement of these kind of lights. The place where the clear plastic meets the black top and bottom is the weak-point in my experience. I have manually improved this regrettable un-gasketed meeting place in others like this by simply unscrewing the casing and applying silicone sealant where the flanges meet.. once it is screwed back closed it is watertight. The magnets and suction seem the same as other competitors-- common sense applies in the way you install them (they will hold at highway speeds but you must be certain there is clean, flat metal and no ridges or imperfections in the seal, and it must be placed far enough back that the highway wind speeds aren't hammering on the light to get underneath and pull it up. Nothing unusual about the light brightness or visibility.

I got this for my security truck and its plenty bright and I like all the flash patterns. It works great but the magnet strength is over exaggerated. It came right off my truck doing just 50 MPH. I tried repositioning it to the back of my truck we will see if it sticks better.

I glued some steel wood connectors to my fiberglass roof. It sticks via magnets like crazy. Mounted to my tractor for snowplowing operations. Looks and functions good. Now to see how the sun affects it. My last one (different model) was faded and cloudy.
