Hi I compare this to Dura Fly Ugly Stick v2 control horn which is very flexy. It's a pnp plane by the way flies very good. But I bought this not for that ugly stick but on Cox E-Z bee 2. It's a park flyer plane from 1990. Actually a 1990 exact year it came out. I want to keep it original everything. But not the receiver battery. I guess I'll go 2.4 but love the cobra radio which run not fm radio but am radio lol. Anyway's I wasn't lucky this plane didn't come complete. Missing control horn, landing gear and screws. Especially engine. So here I had to buy those things extra. I came accross this HobbyPark Nylon Micro horn and it work fantastic. It is super thicker then my Ugly stick v2 control horn. I secure it with hot glue. I have no way to remove it now. But it work good. I hate the blah 4 screws on traditional control horn. This was super fast to install and secure. All you need if nee strong hold is some little of hot glue. This control horns are good stuff for the price. I aint going to spend more money for simple control horn. This is strong. :)

I made the mistake of using some locktite glue on my control rods, it contacted the control horns and melted them. On my maiden flight they failed, resulting in a crash. Lesson learned, use nylock nuts, not locktite on anything that will touch plastic! These replacements worked perfect. I cut off the protruding part, used some hot glue to hold them in place, and I was back in the air in no time. The size was exactly the same as the originals, so I did not need any modification to the airframe.

These control horns are absolutely perfect for your airplanes. They are durable and a near universal fit for anything bigger than your mini planes. I will order these again in a heartbeat when I need them.

These are the best control horns out there. Easy to install, sturdy in flight. Be sure to allow for the large setback. I actually prefer that as the rather large slot is away from the hinge line.

just cut a slot in the foam and attach the control horn. If you want more strength, use some hot melt glue as well
