This odd shaped hoe is a wonderful tool. It is light weight, sharp & easy to use. It works well to break through dirt to get to the roots of the weeds. Some reviews stated the tool broke with use. I imagine they were using it amongst rocks or such. This tool is not heavy duty. It was just what I wanted & worked perfectly for clearing weeds so I could lay pavers down. I ordered the 2 pack as I had a long handle already.

I had to do a couple modifications, but overall I’m pleased with this tool. As stated in other reviews, the handle comes apart during use. I remedied that by using the included teflon and wrapping the joints, then applying an epoxy to the threads. That did the trick. I’ve been using it for weeks, and no problems with things coming loose. For me, the handle is the right length, and it does a quick job of weeding. To remove grass/clover it takes a little more effort, but it will do the job. The blade is sharp, and while it does lose some sharpness while digging in the dirt, it’s thin enough that it stays sharp enough to do the desired work. I can touch it up with an angle grinder, or whetstone if I want, but haven’t bothered yet. If you epoxy the handle together I would recommend this hoe.

This hoe is a great addition to my weeding arsenal. It works similar to the “Hula Hoe†on dry, hard soils, but with soft or slightly moist soil, angle it to the right or the left to cut the weeds a little deeper, getting more of the root. I’m happy just getting rid of these things before they go to seed and using chemicals to kill weeds is not an option for this yard. I purchased a handle and a couple of screws (It only requires one) from Ace Hardware. About 1.5 inches needed to be chopped off the top as it was tapered. This hoe gets cleaned and oiled after each use to prevent rust. It’s great that it comes with two hoe heads in case I want to use the other as a hand-held hoe. Keep in mind that the blade is extremely sharp. Keep away from pets and children. I have to remember to prop it up when stepping away to do something else so the dogs don’t land on the blade. These dogs drop their toys right where I’m weeding so I am especially careful. But the bottom line is that this tool works great. It almost makes weeding satisfying.

It comes in a bag with 4 or 5 pieces..At first glance, I could just tell that it would not be sturdy enough for real work in the garden so we ended up returning it without using it.

This makes weeding a large area super easy. It’s so sharp and quick to cut the plants, I’d be careful near plants you want to keep. Not heavy at all. Planning to add a long handle soon.

Feels cheap and flimsy. Better off going to your local hardware gardening store and buying a similar tool. Don't recommend.
