Seems like an extremely sensitive & accurate device, but why in the world is there a button to switch on the backlight if it only stays lit for 3 seconds? If I want to extend battery life, I'd just shut it off. This is absolutely annoying & absurdly ridiculous. Is this normal? Do better.. I'm considering sending it back for this reason alone when I'm otherwise satisfied. Item # is offered less expensive by several vendors, they can't all be like this
