An iconic toy camera returns with the 135BC 35mm Bent Corners Film Camera from Holga, for those who appreciate light leaks, enjoy slight soft focus, and welcome retro vignetting to create truly unique images. One of the most iconic toy cameras available due to its simple and inexpensive design, the very features that personify the Holga would be considered defects in any other camera. The Holga 135BC 35mm film camera differs from the original 120 film versions in that it features an internal mask which cuts the image corners, creating a soft vignetting effect - hence the name BC, or "Black Corner", version. The 135BC offers a choice between f/8 or f/11, or "cloudy" and "sunny", aperture settings, along with 1/100 sec. or bulb shutter speed settings. The bulb setting allows the shutter to stay open for as long as necessary for long exposures. This makes it possible to do night photography, getting images without a flash in low light situations, or even painting with light. The simple zone focusing system provides focusing from as close as 3' away to infinity. A tripod mount is incorporated into the base of the camera for stable long exposure shooting and a top hot shoe accepts optional electronic flashes.A camera designed to bring the fun and nostalgia back to photography, the Holga 135BC is the return of a classic toy camera capable of making some remarkable, yet inherently lo-fi photographs.

I see lots of negative reviews for this camera and I think it has to do with people not understanding what a Holga is all about. The whole point is the imperfections. It is a cheap camera on purpose. There are light leaks, inconsistent shutter speeds, aperature settings, and focus/lens imperfections. That’s what gives the photos character. This isn’t the camera you take to Christmas and expect every photo to be as you see it through the viewfinder.Another issue is that people don’t flip the switch from burst to normal mode and so they end up with blurry photos shot in burst mode. Before you get this camera you need to look up some reviews. It’s not a traditional point and shoot but once you get it you sort of circle back around to the belief that it really is for everyone. You just need to set your expectations and understand what it’s made for. I love this camera. 100 to 400 ISO film is recommended. I’d split the difference and get 200 or that cool purple Lomography 400.

This lofi camera is great! It takes awesome pics, has some basic focus and f8/f11 settings based on light quality, allows for multilayered photos as you don't have to advance the film until you're good and ready to for some experimental and creative pictures, and you never know what may happen based on light leaks and such!

This camera is perfect if you want that 'toy camera' aesthetic in your photos. It's crazy to me that people buy this camera and expect crisp professional looking photos from it. I suggest trying expired film it for an even more 'deep fried' look!

Instructions were printed very poorly and small. Hard to put in and remove film - seems like it’s insanely cheap. I took my photos to the shop that does my disposable cameras and the photos came back at about 1/4th of the quality. Would not recommend. Waste of money.
