I age in a glass carboy, but this is the perfect height for my press. I set my press in a chair, and press my primary fermentation into a plastic carboy using a large funnel. I start secondary fermentation in the plastic carboy. I then later rack it into a glass carboy for aging.

I ordered this product from RiteBrew, and unfortunately I recieved the 5 gallon version, and not the 6 gallon, so I had to return it before I got a chance to use it, but from what I saw of the product, this was a very nice plastic carboy. It has very smooth, straight sides which I imagine make it very hard for sediment to collect on, and it's a very sturdy, and thick plastic material, so it seems like it would hold up very well over time. I wish I would have gotten the product I ordered, because I'm sure it would be one of the best carboys I've used. Since I haven't gotten to actually use the product, I won't go any further, but like I said before... from what I saw of the 5 gallon version, it seems like a very sturdy, very nice carboy.

I bought four of these and one was badly dented in shipping. I applied air pressure to push the dent mostly out and continued with my life. I'm not worried if my carboy has a little dent in the fender. These are lightweight and work nicely for making wine.

I like this version of a carboy with no ridges. It cleans up so much better than the ones with ridges inside. Great for making sure your wine fermentor is steralized.

They sent me a better bottle, not a rite brew , I don't really care for the better bottles, to much texture on bottle makes it harder to clean
