Some of these came with the purchase of my ultrasonic humidifer. After awhile they need to be replaced. I didn't until I noticed a white dust over everything. These little capsules really help to reduce that white dust.

While I use filtered water with these cartridges they do appear to reduce the remaining lime and red iron content in my well water. It would be really helpful if these had some sort of color changing feature to indicate when they should be replaced as I haven't been able to tell if a month, 3 months, or even 6 months is time to replace.For the price they seem to be useful so I'll continue adding one to my ultrasonic humidifier. I have tried other manufacturers and some were barely more than a little charcoal and a little polymer - these cartridges are nearly full with a small sachet of what appears to be polymer (swells when soaked in water). So I recommend buying these if you have used in the past.

I followed the instructions. Product instructions state the product doesn't work with hard water. I found that to be true. Results vary. My results are not worth the products price. Your results may differ.

Work perfectly in my kettle.I have extremely hard water from my well.My kettle, (which is black) turns white on the inside in two days use until I put two of these in it.Going on a month now and still good!

I have two humidifiers in my home. These help keep them clean and functioning well.I find that I need to change them about twice a month. The more often you have to fill your tanks, the more often you will probably need to change these out. They say they last about 20 fills.
