Description
This is mainly used for loosen the soil before sampling.
With soil testing the lab results are only as good as the sample that was taken.
The samplers are quick and easy to operate. Just insert the sampler into the product to be sampled, turn the handle to open the slots, turn the handle to close the slots, and remove the sampler.
The sample is removed from the sampler by inverting the sampler.

Worked good for me. I took at least a dozen samples during the first use. The pedal at the bottom did start to bend slightly even though the ground was not very firm. Also had issue with the stopper loosening, due to the vibration, when taping/pushing the soil sample out, but it was not a big deal to hold the plate and spin the handle around to retighten it every so often. Probably could be fixed by a small weld to hold it in place. For the price compared to the others, it got the job done for me.

I used this for collecting soil for tests in my food plots. I used to use a shovel for collecting dirt but that was more difficult due to collecting too much dirt and cumbersome. this tool penetrates the ground easily with the foot peddle. also easy to remove the samples into a bucket.

I test the soil in my yard every year and it's always been a challenge due to some physical limitations.This product makes it so easy that I took 35 soil samples within about 45 minutes, including time dividing the samples into 3 separate groups/areas.It works best if the soil is damp. The blade part is very sharp and the plunger makes it relatively easy to remove the samples from the tube. You may have to use something like a screwdriver to help push the sample out of the collection tube if dealing with heavy clay.Cleaned the device with a hose and sprayed the cutting area with WD 40. The device is expensive but it works very, very well.

I have used it once to take soil samples from three different parcels. It is easy to push the probe into the soil with your foot. The rod that pushes the soil out the bottom of the tube worked great too. All of the parts seem heavy duty and strong. I am using it to test soil from food plots on several parcels of land, so I wanted a tool that would last. It appears I made the right choice.

It's heavy duty the plug is pretty big The plug pusher disc on the bottom of the threaded t-bar falls off twice in my truck bed and if I lose this half of the purpose of this tool would be ruined and it was a quite expensive tool. The threats are not very quality in the plug hopefully you can see that in the picture there is no loctite or anything on them I am going to have to drill and pin it or epoxy that and hope it stays on.
