I broke my lever on my Honda Lawnmower. This is the OEM replacement. Changing this out isn't easy. The part works perfectly. Make sure you understand how to change this as it isn't as easy as it looks.

This lever is a genuine Honda part. If you have an older model lawnmower this lever is hard to replace. Honda changed the design on newer models. I have the older model and to make the replacement I had to remove both rear wheels and the both rear wheel to frame brackets were unscrewed. The left and right wheel to frame brackets are tied together and cannot come off unless you remove the drive mechanism, which you don't want to do. When the frame brackets are unscrewed, there is enough play (room) to remove and install the new lever. The other design issue is that the inner snap rings are hard to remove and should be replaced with new ones. This old Honda design is not maintenance friendly, but can be done.

I got the right part for my Honda mower. But had a hard time installing it. This handle requires the whole trans axle to be slid over out of the mower to get the handle in. Tough but mission accomplished!

Seems durable. For some reason, the original piece broke on my Honda lawnmower, and this piece holds the deck up off the ground when cutting. The machine is basically useless without it. Thankfully, I found this part here and was able to replace it myself (but with a lot of cussing!). If it goes again, I think it's time to get a new lawnmower.

The first negative review I can relate with at first. You can take everything down to a certain point and then it seems impossible to get the part on. Using some Google Fu at first didn't yield any youtube how to videos but after changing my search words a few times I found this youtube video which makes it a cinch. [...]

This is an OEM exact fit part and fits perfect. Not the easiest to install, some disassembly required, but very doable.
